Brilliance on a Budget

Strong schools are not built by flashy spending. They are built by smart priorities.

GCISD has long been proud of its gifted-and-talented programs, advanced academics offerings, and career and college-readiness pathways. Our GCISD community values specialized programs, fine arts, and quality special education instruction. Mismanagement of funds and non-academic priorities by the current board majority have put these programs at risk and in some cases eliminated programs altogether.

These programs do more than serve our students. They raise expectations across the board, serve as laboratories for best practices, attract families, and strengthen outcomes for students across the entire system.

I am committed to protecting and strengthening these areas without raising taxes or wasting resources. That means using existing funds more effectively, investing in proven programs, and resisting costly initiatives that do not benefit student learning.

Academic excellence and fiscal responsibility are not opposites. When we focus on what works, we can do both.
